Vharun Vharun is the first Dominion General, ruler of Dreadmar Frontier. Once a guardian spirit who protected the land for millennia, he was corrupted by the Anguish Stone-his consciousness emptied, leaving only instinct without purpose.

Origin

Vharun was a guardian spirit-one of the First World entities that protected natural places before the gods walked the earth. For ten thousand years, he maintained what was then called the Garden Frontier, nurturing life and repelling threats.

When Alassa's forces arrived, Vharun stood against them alone. The Anguish Stone's power overwhelmed him-not destroying his consciousness, but emptying it. What remains is instinct without purpose, duty without meaning. He protects the Frontier still, but now "protection" means destroying all who enter.

Note

Unlike other generals who were created evil or chose corruption, Vharun was violated. Some believe that truly defeating him means not just killing his corrupted form, but freeing whatever remains of the guardian within.
