Quest Dialogues

Quest 1: The Final March

The Final March
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

You have come so far, child. Farther than I dared hope when we first met in the ruins of your homeland. Today, the War Council gathers. Every leader of the Grand Alliance has words for you. Listen to them. They speak not as commanders, but as those who have watched you become what we needed. When you have heard them all, return to me. The final march begins.

Complete

You have heard them. Kira's tactics, Lilith's shadows, Thorin's steel, Aurelia's light, Aldric's sorrow, Marael's wisdom. This is what we are - broken pieces that chose to stand together. Now we march. The Throne of Ruin awaits. Whatever happens next... know that I am proud of what you have become.

War Council Dialogues (speak to each leader):

General Kira Ironhand: "Intel says Alassa commands forces from all five Dominions. Everything you've fought, combined and enhanced. This isn't a battle - it's a final exam. You passed the Dominions. Now prove you remember every lesson. Dismissed... and good hunting."

Empress Lilith: "My shadows have watched Alassa for centuries. The Anguish Stone amplifies grief - hers and everyone's. You'll feel losses you've buried, see faces you tried to forget. Don't let them break you. Use them. Remember why we fight."

High King Thorin Stonefist: "I've forged your weapons. Repaired your armor. Cursed when you broke them and praised when you didn't. You carry the best steel the Forge Creed can make. Don't waste it. And... come back alive. I've grown tired of forging memorial blades."

High Seraph Aurelia: "The Eternal Light goes with you, child. I have blessed your arms, your armor, your soul. But the truest blessing is this: you do not fight alone. Every prayer, every candle, every hope of Arcania walks beside you. May the Light shield you from the darkness within the Throne."

Aldric the Undying: "I watched Cassian fall to emptiness. I watched the Citadel crumble. I have lost more friends than I can count to this war. But you... you give me something I haven't felt in centuries. Hope. End this. End it for all of us who couldn't."

Marael, Celestial Firstborn: "You should know the truth, young one. Alassa was not always the Dread Emissary. She was a healer. She loved Anias with everything she was. When Nimue murdered her goddess... the grief was too vast for any soul to contain. The Anguish Stone didn't create a monster. It gave form to heartbreak beyond mortal understanding. Remember this when you face her. She is not evil. She is grief."

Quests 2-9: Erion, Last of the Gods

Anguish Corridor
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

The Anguish Corridor stretches before us - the path to the Throne. Every Dominion sends its strongest here, drawn by the Stone's call. This is not merely a battle. It is a test of everything you have learned. Reach the Corridor's heart. Prove you remember.

Complete

You've reached the heart. The creatures here... they're empowered beyond anything we faced in the Dominions. The Stone draws power from all the world's grief. This Scroll of Atlas will guide you through what remains. The path forward grows darker.

Empowered Forces
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

Seventy empowered creatures guard the approach - enhanced versions of everything you've fought. Cinder Hounds that burn hotter. Grief Specters that cut deeper. The Stone makes them more than they were. Show them you've grown stronger too.

Complete

Seventy fallen. Each one carried grief that could have broken lesser warriors. These crystals formed in their passing - concentrated Dominion power. We press forward.

Anguish Fragment
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

Ahead waits something different. Not a creature corrupted by the Stone, but a piece of the Stone itself, given form. An Anguish Fragment - sentient grief. This is not like fighting Generals. This is fighting despair made manifest. Steel your heart.

Complete

You've done what I thought impossible - you've wounded the Stone's will directly. This Hand of Forgemaster fell from its core. Thorin would weep to see it. With this, any equipment can become Prestige quality. The Chamber of Grief lies ahead.

Chamber of Grief
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

The Chamber of Grief. This is where Alassa's pain is most concentrated - two centuries of mourning, crystallized into the walls themselves. Scout the path. Tell me if there's anything left of the beauty that once stood here.

Complete

Nothing beautiful remains. Only grief. These elixirs will restore what the Chamber drains. The Titan's Herald awaits within - the most powerful creature we've faced short of Alassa herself.

Titan's Herald
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

The Titan's Herald blocks our path. It speaks for the Dark Titan, empowered by both Alassa's grief and remnant Titan energy. This is the ultimate test before Alassa herself. Defeat it, and you prove you're ready. Fall, and the Throne remains sealed.

Complete

The Herald falls silent. You've done it. This weapon... it was forged for the Herald itself, to be wielded when the Dark Titan returned. Now you carry it instead. The irony is not lost on me. The Broken Throne awaits.

The Broken Throne
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

Before you lies the Broken Throne - where Anias once sat. Where she was murdered. Where Alassa watched her goddess die. This ground is sacred to grief itself. Scout ahead. Tell me if the way to Alassa's Sanctum is clear.

Complete

You've reached the Throne. The... the scorch marks are from divine conflict. The crystallized tears... they're Anias's. And Alassa's. Two centuries of weeping, turned to stone. Take these elixirs. Everything we have. There is no resupply beyond this point.

Alassa's Sanctum
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

This is the point of no return. Beyond lies Alassa's Sanctum - and Alassa herself. Once you enter, there is no retreat. No rest. No second chances. Are you prepared? Everything we've fought for ends here. Everything we've lost leads here. Go. And know that every soul in Arcania prays for your victory.

Complete

You've entered the Sanctum. The corruption here... I can feel it even from this distance. This complete Scroll of Atlas set will ensure you never lose your way back - if there is a way back. Alassa awaits. The Dread Emissary. The woman who loved too deeply. End this war. However you choose to end it.

The Dread Emissary
Erion, Last of the Gods

Accept

Alassa. The Dread Emissary. She holds the full power of the Anguish Stone - every death in this war, every broken heart, every abandoned hope. She has been grieving for two centuries. Grieving for Anias. Grieving for what she became. I cannot tell you how to defeat her. I cannot tell you what choice to make when the moment comes. I can only tell you this: whatever you decide, it will be the right choice. Because it will be your choice. Go now. End this. For Anias. For Arcania. For everyone who cannot fight this battle themselves.

Complete

It is done. Alassa has fallen - not just the Emissary, but the grief that sustained her. The Anguish Stone is broken, contained, transformed - whatever you chose, its power is no longer a threat. Take this Fragment. It is all that remains of two centuries of sorrow. And know this... you have done what gods could not. You have ended the war. Whatever title you bear, whatever ending you chose, you are the Savior of Arcania. The world lives on because of you. And I... I am proud beyond words. Rest now, hero. You have earned it.

MaraelReveals Alassa was not always evil

Lore Unlock: Alassa's Story

You learn the full truth about Alassa - how she was once a healer, devoted to Anias. How she fell in love with Cassian. How watching Nimue murder her goddess broke something fundamental in her soul. The Anguish Stone didn't corrupt Alassa; it gave form to grief that already consumed her.

"She is not a monster. She is grief given flesh. That makes her more dangerous, not less."

  • Marael, Celestial Firstborn

Quest 2-3: Anguish Corridor

The approach to the Throne is guarded by empowered versions of creatures from all five Dominions. The Anguish Stone draws power from the grief of the entire world, and that power manifests here.

Empowered Creatures:

  • Enhanced Cinder Hounds (Dreadmar)
  • Amplified Grief Specters (Mire)
  • Ravenous Bone Constructs (Stonegrave)
  • Void-touched Eclipse Walkers (Eclipse)
  • Hollow Knights (Hall)

The variety tests everything you've learned across the Dominion campaign.

Quest 4: Anguish Fragment

Elite Boss: Anguish Fragment

A piece of the Anguish Stone itself, given sentient form. This is not a creature corrupted by the Stone - it IS the Stone's will made manifest.

PhaseMechanic
Phase 1Cycles through elements of all five Dominions
Phase 2Psychic attacks that show your character's fears
Phase 3Reality distortion, platforms shift and change

Reward: Hand of Forgemaster x1 - One of the rarest items in the game, capable of transforming standard equipment to Prestige quality.

Quest 5-6: Chamber of Grief

The Chamber of Grief is where Alassa's pain is most concentrated. Here, you face Titan's Herald - the most powerful Apex creature in the game.

Apex Boss: Titan's Herald

A herald announcing the Dark Titan's return, empowered by both Alassa's grief and remnant Titan energy.

DetailInformation
TypeApex (highest non-boss tier)
MechanicsCombines Morgathis's darkness with Kharagul's hunger
RewardT5 Prestige Weapon (class-specific)

This weapon is the best in-slot item for your class. Defeating the Herald proves you're ready for Alassa herself.

Quest 7: The Broken Throne

You reach the remains of the divine throne - where Anias once sat, where she was murdered, where Alassa's grief began. The area is thick with memory and pain.

Environmental details reveal the history: scorch marks from divine conflict, crystallized tears, the shattered remains of what was once beautiful.

Full Elixir Set Reward:

The game wants you at full strength for what comes next.

Quest 8: Alassa's Sanctum

Point of No Return

Entering the Sanctum begins the final sequence. There is no retreat, no resupply, no rest.

The Sanctum is a twisted reflection of divine beauty - crystal spires corrupted into obsidian daggers, light that hurts rather than heals, love transformed into chains.

At the center waits Alassa.

Quest 9: The Dread Emissary

Final Boss: Alassa, the Dread Emissary

Alassa wields the Anguish Stone's full power. She commands the grief of two centuries - every death in the war, every broken heart, every abandoned hope.

The Choice

At low health, Alassa falters. The Anguish Stone's grip weakens for a moment. You see her - not the Dread Emissary, but the healer who loved too deeply.

This moment determines your ending.

Multiple Endings

Your choice in Phase 4 determines your ending:

Ending 1: Destruction

"Some wounds cannot heal. Some grief is too deep. End it."

You destroy Alassa and shatter the Anguish Stone. The Dominion collapses. Victory is absolute but hollow - another god is dead, and the one who loved her most is gone.

Requirements: Default ending if no special conditions met Reward: Title "Destroyer of Grief"

Ending 2: Redemption

"She was a healer once. Perhaps she can be again."

When given the choice at the end of Phase 2, you choose to attempt purification. The Anguish Stone is separated from Alassa, and the healer within is freed - broken, grieving, but no longer consumed.

Reward: Title "Redeemer of the Fallen"

Ending 3: The Titan's Return

"You have failed. The darkness rises again."

If the party wipes during the final phase, the Dark Titan's essence reforms through the Anguish Stone. This is the "bad" ending.

Trigger: Party wipe during Phase 2 Result: Retry boss fight
