Hall of Fallen
The fifth and final dominion - fragments of the Eterna Citadel where Cassian the Hollow guards the path to Alassa.
"Cassian was the man Alassa loved. The man who betrayed her. The man she destroyed. Now he guards her door-empty, obedient, and absolutely lethal. There's a poem in there somewhere. A very dark poem."
- War Council Briefing
Hall of Fallen is the fifth and final dominion, a surreal battlefield where fragments of the fallen Eterna Citadel drift like broken stars caught between worlds. Here stands Cassian the Hollow-once a mortal man, once loved by a goddess, now an empty vessel filled with the Anguish Stone's will.
| Attribute | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|

The Land
Before the Fall
The Eterna Citadel was the home of the gods-a divine monument created by Marael and Anias above the mortal realms. When the dimensional rift tore open the sky, a colossal hand crushed it. The broken citadel fell like a dead star.
Current State
The Hall of Fallen is what remains: fragments of divine architecture floating in unstable space. Rooms that once held gods now drift through void. Corridors connect to impossible places. The rules of reality are suggestions here.
Environmental Hazards
- Shifting Architecture - Platforms move, rotate, and vanish
- Divine Echoes - Remnants of godly power discharge unpredictably
- Dimensional Tears - Portals to elsewhere; some helpful, most deadly
- Gravity Flux - Direction of "down" changes without warning
Cassian the Hollow
Origin
Cassian was a mortal man-a charismatic army general who captured Alassa's heart. Their love was genuine, passionate, and doomed. When Alassa discovered his betrayal with a servant, her heartbreak became rage. She killed the servant and her family, then tore Cassian's heart from his chest-not killing him, but removing his capacity to feel anything.
Transformation
Cassian wandered the world as a hollow shell-alive but empty, unable to feel love, hate, fear, or hope. When the Anguish Stone's corruption spread, it found his emptiness and filled it with power. He became Alassa's strongest general-bound to the final gate before her throne by whatever trace of their old bond still lingers.
| Attribute | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Hollow Vessel | Empty mortal filled with Anguish power |
| Combat Style | Martial Perfection | No emotion, no hesitation, no mercy |
| Weakness | Emotional Resonance | References to Alassa create brief vulnerabilities |
| Special Mechanic | The Empty Heart | Cannot be affected by morale attacks-but can be reminded |
Abilities
| Phase | Ability | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | Perfect Strike | Massive single-target damage, cannot be blocked |
| Phase 1 | Hollow Guard | Counterattacks all melee damage |
| Phase 2 | Empty Memory | Forces players to relive their greatest regrets |
| Phase 2 | Heart of Nothing | Aura that negates healing |
| Phase 3 | Final Devotion | Ultimate attack; triggered by mentioning Alassa |
Tip
Cassian's "Emotional Resonance" weakness is unique. Speaking Alassa's name or referencing their history creates damage windows-but also triggers his most dangerous attacks. Use sparingly and strategically.
Strategy
Recommended Party
- Tank: Must handle Perfect Strike without block; evasion or immunity
- Healer: Plan around "Heart of Nothing" phases; burst healing required
- DPS: Consistent damage; few burst windows until emotional triggers
- Support: Anti-counter mechanics extremely valuable
Key Tactics
- Navigate the Environment - The floating citadel is as dangerous as Cassian
- Trigger Sparingly - Emotional references create openings but invite devastation
- Heal in Bursts - "Heart of Nothing" means sustained healing doesn't work
- Respect His Skill - Cassian was a legendary general before corruption
Common Mistakes
- Standing still (platform may vanish)
- Over-using emotional triggers (Final Devotion is devastating)
- Melee attacking during Hollow Guard (counterattack kills)
- Trying to heal through Heart of Nothing (waste of resources)
Lore Significance
The Tragedy of Love
Cassian and Alassa's story is central to Arcania's history. Their love, betrayal, and mutual destruction set events in motion that led to the current war. Fighting Cassian means confronting the consequences of passion turned to poison.
The Empty Guardian
Cassian doesn't guard the path to Alassa because he chooses to. He guards it because he cannot choose anything. The Anguish Stone filled his emptiness with purpose, and that purpose is absolute defense.
Note
Some believe that if Cassian could be restored-if his heart could be returned-he might be turned against Alassa. This theory assumes he would want to turn, which assumes he can want anything at all.
The Final Test
Defeating Cassian means the Throne of Ruin is finally within reach. But it also means confronting the truth: Alassa's greatest defender is a monument to her capacity for destruction. What waits beyond is not likely to be less dangerous.
Rewards
| Reward | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Accessory | T5 Ring with balanced stats | |
| Material | Upgrades Standard to Prestige quality | |
| Gem | Offensive gem (Attack, Crit, Speed) | |
| Hall Conqueror | Achievement | Unlocks Throne of Ruin |
What Lies Beyond
Past Cassian stands the Throne of Ruin-Alassa's palace, the corrupted Eterna Citadel. There, on her darkened throne, the Dread Emissary waits with the Anguish Stone pulsing in her grip.
The Final Confrontation
Defeating Cassian does not end the war. It only opens the door to the true battle. Alassa-bearing the full power of the Anguish Stone, connected to the Dark Titan's will-awaits those brave or foolish enough to challenge her.
The final war against the Dark Titan itself has begun.
Quotes
"I remember her. I remember... something. It doesn't matter. Nothing matters. You will not pass. That is all I know. That is all I am."
Cassian, during Empty Memory
"Cassian was the best swordsman of his generation. The Anguish didn't make him stronger-it just removed everything that held him back. Fear. Mercy. Doubt. What remains is perfect. And perfectly horrifying."
