Cleric - Keepers of the Eternal Light
Healers who preserve Anias's memory and channel her lingering essence to mend the broken.
Cleric - Keepers of the Eternal Light
Primary Healer / Support
Anias is dead. Her body dissolved into light, her consciousness scattered across the cosmos. But her essence-the life-giving energy that created worlds-did not vanish. It seeped into the land, into the people, into the very fabric of Arcania. Clerics are those who learned to gather these fragments, to channel the Eternal Light that still flickers in the darkness.
The Cleric Tradition
"She is gone, but she is not absent. I feel her in every breath, every heartbeat, every moment of kindness between strangers. To heal is to remember her. To serve is to keep her alive."
High Priestess Veyla, Founder of the Eternal Vigil
Origin of the Keepers
When Anias died, the world fell into despair. Her light seemed extinguished forever. Temples crumbled. The faithful wept. Many believed the Eternal Light had died with its creator.
Then came Veyla.
Veyla was a simple acolyte, unremarkable in power or status. But she loved Anias with a devotion that death could not break. While others mourned, Veyla prayed-not for miracles, but simply to feel close to the goddess she had served.
And something answered.
It was not Anias's voice. The goddess was truly dead. But her essence-the life-giving energy she had poured into creation-still existed. It had scattered across Arcania, seeping into the land, the air, the hearts of all living things. Veyla discovered she could gather these fragments, channel them through her faith, and perform acts of healing that should have been impossible.
She called this power the Eternal Light-because though Anias was gone, her love remained eternal.
Philosophy of the Vigil
Clerics do not worship Anias as an active deity. They honor her memory through service. Their faith is not in answered prayers, but in the belief that compassion itself is sacred-that healing the wounded, comforting the grieving, and protecting the innocent are acts of worship more meaningful than any ritual.
| Attribute | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| The Vigil of Memory | Sacred Practice | Preserve every story of Anias, let nothing be forgotten |
| The Vigil of Compassion | Sacred Practice | Heal all who suffer, regardless of faction or history |
| The Vigil of Witness | Sacred Practice | Stand present in moments of death, birth, and transformation |
| The Vigil of Hope | Sacred Practice | Carry light into the darkest places |
The Eternal Light vs The Spark
Paladins carry the Spark of Light-fragments of Anias's first creation, granted by her son Erion. Clerics channel the Eternal Light-Anias's own scattered essence that permeates all living things.
The Spark is concentrated power, given deliberately. The Eternal Light is diffuse presence, discovered through faith. Both serve the same cause, but through different means.

Notable Figures
High Priestess Veyla
The Founder. A human acolyte who discovered mortals could still channel Anias's essence after her death. She established the Eternal Vigil and trained the first generation of Clerics. Though she died centuries ago, her writings remain the foundation of all Cleric teaching.
Saelistra the First Cry
Once called "the Compassionate," Saelistra was the most gifted healer of her age. When the Dominion captured her, Alassa corrupted her gifts-turning her healing into weaponized grief. She now serves as one of the Five Generals. Every Cleric prays they never face what Saelistra became.
High Seraph Aurelia
Current leader of the Luminar Clerics and spiritual advisor to the Grand Alliance. She has served for five centuries and is one of the few beings who remembers Anias's living presence. Her wisdom guides the Eternal Vigil through the darkest age.
The Vigil Keepers
An order of Clerics who maintain the sacred flames in every temple across the free lands. They travel constantly, ensuring no shrine goes dark, no community goes without healing. Many player Clerics begin their journey as apprentice Keepers.

Clerics are the heart of any group. They keep allies alive, cleanse corruption, and turn the tide of battle through strategic support.
Combat Flow
Position Safely → Maintain Healing → Purify Debuffs → Build Faith → Unleash Miracles
Unlike Paladins who stand in front, Clerics stay back and maintain awareness. A dead Cleric heals no one.
